Mental Health Services & NDIS Psychosocial Supports

Mind Matters Consulting and Primary Mental Health Care offers evidence-based, trauma-informed and recovery focused mental health nursing service to individuals between 18 years - 64 years of age who are experiencing and living with a mental health issue or any of the following mental health conditions: Schizophrenia Spectrum and Other Psychotic Disorders Bipolar and Related Disorders Depressive Disorders Anxiety Disorders Obsessive-Compulsive and Related Disorders Trauma-and-Stressor-Related Disorders and Somatic Symptom and Related Disorders. Our practice also offers mental health nursing support and psychosocial recovery coaching to NDIS participants with a lived experience of psychosocial disability. Appointments are offered In-person or via Videoconferencing or Telehealth. We welcome self-referrals and referrals from professionals and agencies. Our practice values non-judgmental, person-centred and responsive mental health support to all people from all walks of life. We acknowledge the reality of life’s suffering and believe in the healing and restorative power of authentic connections. We value the creation and the cultivation of a safe and supportive space in which people can be heard and seen; can explore and make sense of their life; and can strengthen their inherent abilities to live the day-to-day with hope and meaning. Clinical Supervision & Mentoring

We offer Clinical Supervision to professionals working in health, nursing, and mental health. We also offer mentoring to students completing their study in nursing and mental health; and professionals delivering psychosocial support and disability services. Coaching

Our practice offers individualised service to people (between 16 years - 64 years of age) seeking professional guidance and support through Life, Performance and Academic coaching. With extensive experience in mental health care and higher education, our practice specialises in delivering coaching services to: High School Students so that they can flourish in their Higher School Certificate despite their lived experience of a mental health issue or a mental health condition; University (undergraduate, postgraduate or higher degree by research), TAFE and Vocational Students so that they can flourish in their studies despite their lived experience of a mental health issue or a mental health condition; and Young Adults wishing to develop and strengthen their personal resources to manage the demands and challenges of modern living; and to flourish in their own path in life. Individual sessions are delivered via Videoconferencing or Telehealth. We welcome self-referrals and referrals from professionals and agencies. Consulting & Speaking

Mind Matters Consulting and Primary Mental Health Care offers advisory service in Nursing and Mental Health Education and Training to the public and private sector. We also offer speaking services in the subject areas of: mental health and psychosocial wellbeing, spirituality and mental health, and nursing. Our process and implementation is individualised, versatile, and able to cater to a broad range of audiences ranging from the private and public education and training sector to not-for-profit and community organisations. My name is Dianne.

I am a qualified registered nurse (AHPRA) and credentialed mental health nurse (ACMHN) with over 20 years of clinical experience in mental health. I possess clinical experience in medical, surgical, cardiac and aged care nursing, and older people's mental health. I have worked in the hospital (inpatient, outpatient and emergency), community and primary health care setting; and across the private, government and non-government sector in Sydney, Australia. For over 11 years, I worked as a University Lecturer and an undergraduate Course Coordinator; developing, implementing and coordinating Nursing and Mental Health Courses in Sydney, Australia. My contribution to higher nursing education was recognised with a Vice Chancellor’s Award for Initiatives that Enhance Student Learning (sub-category: Innovation in curricula, resources and approaches to student learning). I am an experienced mentor, coach and clinical supervisor for professionals working in nursing, mental health, and in the psychosocial support and disability services. I am steadfast in contributing to the nursing and mental health profession through practice development, guest lecturing, and as an invited speaker. Some of my educational background includes a Master of Philosophy from the School of Medicine The University of Sydney; and a Master of Mental Health Nursing (Advanced Clinical Practice), a Graduate Certificate in Mental Health Nursing (Psychotherapeutic Interventions with Supervised Clinical Practice), and a Bachelor of Nursing from The University of Sydney.
